"Cornelius does it" is a 14-part reporter series from 1994. The editor Cornelius Schlichter (Walter Plathe) writes his own column "Cornelius helps" in the newspaper "Berliner Nachtausgabe". He does research in cases where people feel treated unfairly and is at least as much a lawyer and detective as a journalist.
