Martin Kukula
Martin Kukula (born December 5, 1957 in Wiesbaden, † November 1, 2013 in Berlin) was a German cameraman. After studying at the Berlin University of the Arts, Kukula began working in film in the early 1980s. In Wilde Clique by Hannelore Conradsen and Dieter Köster, he took on the role of Bruno Pellworm. Kukula later worked as a camera assistant. He was able to continue his education at the American Film Institute from 1988 to 1989 on an airlift scholarship. He led the camera in the films Butterflies (1988), crime scene: blood sausage waltz (1991), children's games (1992), Life is a construction site (1997) and Good Bye, Lenin! (2002). Kukula designed 15 television films with director Urs Egger. Kukula taught as a guest lecturer at the Cologne International Film School. On the morning of November 1, 2013, he died in his apartment in Berlin as a result of a serious illness. (Source: Wikipedia)
